hm….. the scale’s been all over the place this week ranging from 177 to 173. So I don’t trust this number. Good news is my clothes are fitting a little better and my arms are looking a little leaner. Thats all that counts…

70 days…
The first week getting back into a routine is always the hardest. I worked out HARD every single day but my nutrition was left lacking. I was all over the place with low calorie days and super high calorie days. But those days are over! It’s now routine time. No more rationalizations, no more “this is the last day…”, no more compromising. I will lose 20 lbs by Puerta Vallarata. 70 days and counting…. :)

Accountablity
So I am unfortunately writing this.
I’m frustrated. I’m upset. and ultimately, its my own fault. I thought I would never have to use tumblr as my accountability again. It got me started on my weight loss journey over a year and a half ago and it help get down to my lowest weight in years back in May.
But now its September. And all of that hard work that I put in for a year and a half is gone in a matter of three months. The circumstances of my 80 hr+ a week job, my horrible eating over the summer, and ultimately my own compromises and rationalizations, I’m back to where I was, square one.
So tonight, i let it go and begin the slow process again. No short cuts, just straight hard work starting tomorrow AM.
I have 25 days til I’m in a wedding. 39 days til I have to see all the people in the world that truly matter to me. and 76 days before I head to Puerto Vallarta for a week in the sun with hundreds of college students that I work with.
The calorie counting and intense workouts WILL be worth it.
The most common cause of failure is when we give up what we want most, for what we want now. AND what I want most is to have a revenge bod to show the boy that broke my heart this summer for Puerto Vallarta. Here goes nothin’….

- P90x Ab ripper X
- 20 Minutes on elliptical
- 10 minutes fast run on treadmill

- Shirataki Tofu Noodles w/ pasta sauce
- Grilled chicken slices with ketchup
Today was a very good day. I’ve kept on track nutritionally and felt great in the gym. P90x is making me sooooo sore. I’ve never been this sore, not even from the insanity workouts last semester! :)

Today was our fitness test in my weight lifting PE class. I about died because I was so sore from P90x yesterday. So far this day is going sooo good! :)

Day 2
So I’m trying to figure out how to get back and commit to this blog. Its amazing accountablitly and motivation but I want to do it right. I might be trying a few different things so bear with me…
Scale as of this morning: 174.6
Day 2 of P90x.
I am committing to eating less than 1200 calories today. The first days always the hardest and then its downhill from there :)

Back on the weight loss train…
So I know I haven’t posted in awhile. I took a break for 6 weeks and went back home to NM and traveled across the country around a bit. Quite frankly, it was a whirlwind of a winter break:
I ate what I wanted.
Worked out a couple days a week.
Drank (a lot).
Had a romance and then my heart broken.
Partied in Vegas.
Traveled across the country.
and did things that I would have never done a year ago.
I would say that my break was very successful indeed. :) But now its back to school, work, and gettin’ fit. As of monday, I weighed 171.8. Which isn’t bad considering that I wasn’t really watching what I ate. I definitely gained some holiday weight cuz I was down to 165 and gettin’ pretty lean at the beginning of December. OH WELL. I’m ok with starting over cuz its a new semester and a new year. I’m so excited to see what 2011 has in store for me. For this week, I’m just doing cardio in the gym and trying to watch what I eat. On Sunday, I am officially starting P90x mixed with lots of cardio. My goal is to get down to 150 by May. Here goes nothin’! :)

Update :)
I leave for california saturday to spend a week with friends in Santa Monica before I head back to school. So far I’ve been able to workout, and maintain my gain in between 171 and 172. I’m ok with that BECAUSE in just 1 week, I’ll be able to get back into weight loss mode. SOOOOO stoked to get back into a routine and start my semester off healthy and right. Goal= 150 by the end of May :)

Weigh In Friday
So I know I haven’t been posting as much lately, but that’s just due to the crazy, unpredictable-ness of home life. I never know what each day is going to look like!
So I’ve been eating lower calories all week and doing an insanity workout everyday like I promised. I’m glad to report for WIF:
Previous Weight: 173
WIF: 168.0
Pounds lost: -5
I’m assuming that the 173 was a lot of water weight and not enough exercise. Getting back into my normal routine for a week has put me back down to my Christmas weight. I hate how much the scale fluctuates for me! It constantly makes me nervous.

Honesty Post….
So the holidays are over. And so is my avoidance of the scale and good foods.
As of today, the scale read 173. I don’t know how accurate that is but im kinda dying inside. All my hard work the last two months to get down to 165, are down the drain. I’m back at where I was at the end of October. I’ve slacked the last few weeks and not worked out at all. I made excuses and now have paid for it in the worst way possible.
Starting today, I’m making a commitment to myself to workout every day for an hour until I get back to school at the end of January. I’m also going to start counting my calories again. My goal is going to be 1200 a day but realistically, I’m going to try and keep it under 2000.
The first day is always the hardest, but I’m going to get back into my good habits :)

2011 Fitness Resolutions
- 150 by the end of May (basically losing 15 pounds)
- Get back up to running 8 miles at a time
- Finish P90x by the end of April
- Get a healthy mindset on my eating and binging
- Fit into a size 8 comfortably (no muffin top…) by the end of May
- By next thanksgiving, be a solid size 6
